No use crying over spilled milk, he is the President. Perhaps you heard his comment last week regarding compromise with the House republicans..."I was elected, do it my way!"
If you are truly a democrat, then you should know that there aren't any "clean Democrats" in Congress; and if you followed the voter recruitment campaigns then you know there aren't many outside Congress, either. Obama is trying to wend his way though (for him) uncharted territory. He has a tremendous challenge undoing all the harm from Alan Greenspan's interference with the workings of the economy, and very little time to learn. We can always beat on him later, for now, let's support his position, keep the bailout focused on tax cuts and the banking sector, and pray that something works.
How about the nominees being honest up front? It seems the vetting process misses things and then if the candidate does not get called on it, they sneak in. Taht means their liars, dishonest or stupid, you pick one
Amen. The irony is that Tim Russert and I graduated from the same Jesuit college, John Carroll University. Tim Russert was an undergraduate when I was in graduate school. I too would have loved to see Tim Russert take on all the candidates especially as a moderator of a presidential debate. I think the entire country would have a better idea
